Detailed Itinerary
Day 1: Arrival in Yichang
Arrive in Yichang by plane or high-speed rail, check into your hotel, and rest to recover from the journey, getting ready for the wonderful adventure ahead.
Day 2: Two Dams & One Gorge Cruise (Yichang Accommodation)
Board the luxury cruise ship from Yichang Three Gorges Tourist Center, pass through the Gezhouba Ship Lock to experience the amazing "ship rising with water". Cruise along the Xiling Gorge, enjoy the breathtaking scenery along the Yangtze River, and visit the Three Gorges Dam—the world’s largest water conservancy project.
Day 3: Three Gorges Family Scenic Area (Yichang Accommodation)
Spend a whole day exploring the Three Gorges Family Scenic Area, located opposite Mingyue Bay, the first bend of the Yangtze River in the Three Gorges. Visit key attractions including Ba King Palace, Mountain Family, Stream Side Family and River Side Family, and immerse yourself in the unique Ba ethnic culture and original river life.
Day 4: Shennongjia Scenic Area (Muyu Town Accommodation)
In the morning, take a bus to Shennongjia. In the afternoon, start your exploration of Shennongjia: visit Shennongding (the highest peak of Shennongjia), Shennong Valley (known as the "most beautiful canyon in central China"), Jinhou Ridge (a habitat for golden monkeys) and Xiaolongtan (a wildlife rescue center). In the evening, check into a hotel in Muyu Town, a quiet town surrounded by mountains and forests.
Day 5: Shennongjia to Wudang Mountain (Wudang Mountain Accommodation)
In the morning, continue your Shennongjia tour: visit Shennong Altar (a sacred place to worship Shennong, the ancestor of Chinese agriculture) and Guanmen Mountain (a natural botanical garden with rich flora and fauna). In the afternoon, drive along the "most beautiful water highway" to Xingshan County, then take the high-speed rail to Wudang Mountain and check into your hotel.
Day 6: Wudang Mountain Scenic Area (Wudang Mountain Accommodation)
Spend a full day exploring Wudang Mountain, a sacred Taoist mountain in China. In the morning, visit Taizi Slope (famous for its unique architectural layout of "twists and turns, but not losing order"), Nanyan Palace (built on a cliff, a masterpiece of Taoist architecture) and Zixiao Palace (one of the largest and best-preserved Taoist temples on Wudang Mountain). Day 7: Departure from Wuhan
